- Romanian composer Ivanovici wrote over 350 dances during his writing career
- Chopin wrote his Piano Concerto No. 1 when he was only 20-years old
Piano; it’s his forte
Masterworks 3: an evening tuned with perfection as we welcome guest artist Charles Richard-Hamelin, piano. Hamelin stands out as one of the most important pianists of his generation and joins the NSO under the direction of Marc David to perform It’s His Forte including: Ivanovici’s Waves of the Danube, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1, Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8.
