Recital 1 with the ASQ
October 21 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm$20 – $23
What makes this concert interesting…
- The Hadyn piece is a part of the last set of string quartets that Hadyn composed.
- Hadyn uses a rising theme through the 2nd violin, viola and cello, as the 1st violin plays the melody.
- The Beethoven piece was commissioned by the Russian Ambassador in Vienna in 1806, highlighting Russian folk songs.
Featuring the Atlantic String Quartet, the NSO’s Recital Series presents high quality chamber music. The ASQ includes Heather Kao, Nancy Case-Oates, Kate Read, and Theo Weber. Selections for Recital 1 are: Haydn’s String Quartet Op. 76, No. 4 “Sunrise”, Bridge’s Idylls, and Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 59, No. 1, “Razumovsky”. This concert will be held at D.F. Cook Recital Hall, Memorial University.
The performance is made possible by The Idea Factory.
Tickets ($20-$23) are available at the ACC Box Office (729-3900), at www.artsandculturecentre.com and at the door.
