Sensory Friendly Performances

March 23 @ 3:30 pm - 4:15 pm

Free

It’s About our Guests
We understand the experience of coming to see a show begins long before arriving to the theatre. Going to new places can be scary – especially when you don’t know what to expect. For our second Sensory Friendly Performance the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra really wants to welcome you to a safe, friendly, and judgment-free environment where YOU can be YOU.

Date: Saturday, March 23, 2019
Times: 2:00PM & 3:30PM (approximately 45 minutes in length)
Location: Suncor Energy Hall, School of Music, MUN (park in main lot-arm will be up)
Cost: Free (call us to register for your preferred session)

Here is what we are offering as part of this Sensory Friendly Performance:

  • Professionally trained staff and volunteers
  • Adaptation and reduction of sudden changes in light and sound
  • House lights are kept on slightly to allow for safety and freedom of movement
  • Flexible and limited seating arrangements to allow room for guests with spatial issues
  • Quiet lobby area for breaks
  • Pre-concert Information Package for families, teachers, and caregivers

Call Lynn Ann or Jennifer at 722-4441 with questions or to register.

In partnership with the School of Music at Memorial University and supported by VOCM Cares.
