Sinfonia 1: Salute the Flute

October 27 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$30 – $35

What makes this concert interesting…

  • The OSM Manulife Competition is Canada’s most prestigious national performance competition & highlights up and coming musicians; Benjamin Morency won the 2017 competition.
  • The opening piece is nicknamed “Alleluia” because of Haydn’s use of a Gregorian Alleluia chant in the opening movement.
  • In the final piece you can hear similarities to Haydn and Mozart’s works as they both taught Beethoven.
