What makes this concert interesting…
- Guest artist Sarah Veber has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
- Beer tasting sponsored by Quidi Vidi, sample 4 different beers at intermission
- Mozetich is a Juno nominated Canadian composer who found his love for music listening to CBC Radio.
- The final piece was first played on Christmas morning in 1870, as a birthday gift to the composer’s wife.
Be Still My Harp, it’s Sinfonia 2!
The NSO’s own Sarah Veber, harp, joins the NSO Sinfonia as we start 2019 with beautiful music. Works include Gardner’s Concerto Grosso, Debussy’s Danse sacrée et danse profane, Mozetich’s El Dorado for harp, and Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll. This concert will be held at D.F. Cook Recital Hall, Memorial University.
