Masterworks 3: Starry, Starry Night
CONCERT DETAILS
A concert that becomes more out-of-this-world with each passing moment, the NSO is delighted to welcome 11-year old Ryan Huang – international and Canadian Music Competition grand prize winner and piano prodigy who will take the stage to perform Mendelssohn’s G-minor Concerto. The concert also includes three short pieces: Unexpectedly Absent (J. Lawlor); Pirate Waltz (A. Gosse) and Eine kleine Nachtmusik (W. A. Mozart) which are part of a Science and the Symphony Project. These will be conducted by our RBC Emerging Artist Conductor Fellow Jack Etchegary. The concert continues in the second half as the NSO performs Holst’s masterpiece The Planets, with VERY special guests CALOS Youth Orchestra. We are delighted to welcome our friends at CALOS under the direction of Grant Etchegary back to the NSO stage for this side-by-side concert.
Masterworks 3: Starry, Starry Night will premier at 8pm on February 15, 2025 as part of the NSO’s 24/25 Online Series.
