We understand the experience of coming to see a show begins long before arriving to the theatre.
Going to new places can be scary – especially when you don’t know what to expect. The Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra really wants to welcome you to a safe, neuro-diverse, friendly, and judgment-free environment where YOU can be YOU.
Here is what we are offering as part of this Sensory Friendly Performance:
- Professionally trained staff and volunteers
- Adaptation and reduction of sudden changes in light and sound
- House lights are kept on slightly to allow for safety and freedom of movement
- Flexible and limited seating arrangements to allow room for guests with spatial issues
- Quiet area for breaks
- Instrument petting zoo from Long and McQuade ( appropriate instruments will be specifically chosen for this event)
