I started in the NSO as a community player. In my past, I have played in many different orchestras and concert bands in St. John’s (including the NSYO), Ottawa and Connecticut. After many years of playing 4th horn with the NSO, I switched to 2nd horn a couple of years ago. Outside of my musical life, I am the proud mother of two daughters and am fortunate to work as a registered nurse in psychiatry with Eastern Health.
How many years have you been with the NSO?
Who is your favourite composer?
What's the best NSO concert you have seen or been a part of?
There’s a few. My favourite is a MasterWorks concert of a few years ago, where we performed Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. I enjoyed performing in The Nutcracker with Kittiwake Dance. And, of course, Star Wars is always fun for a horn player.
