RBC – Emerging Artist Conductor Fellowship
The Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, through the generous support of RBC, and in collaboration with the School of Music, is pleased to offer a fellowship to an individual who is studying or already has a graduate degree in instrumental conducting. The selected student will have the prestigious opportunity to work as an apprentice with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, mentored by renowned conductor, Maestro Marc David – Music Director and Principal Conductor of the NSO. He/she will also be provided podium time with the NSO musicians in various rehearsals leading to concerts, as well as during at least one public performance.
In addition, through this fellowship, the selected emerging artist will have the opportunity to work with established local professional musicians and celebrated guest artists. A stipend will be provided as part of this fellowship.
