The NSO’s Musical Chairs program offers a unique opportunity for music lovers and supporters to establish a direct connection with members of the orchestra.
Did you know that ticket revenue only covers a quarter of the costs of presenting concerts and outreach programs? The fact that we are able to bring the joy of orchestral music to the public is in large part due to the generosity of our donors. Funds raised through the Musical Chairs program represent one-third of the total support received annually from individual donors.
But becoming a Musical Chairs supporter is about more than a financial commitment to the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. By contributing to this program, you are helping keep classical music and music education alive and well in Newfoundland and Labrador!
Benefits of the Musical Chairs Program
When you support the Musical Chairs program, you will receive the following benefits in recognition of your contribution:
- Name Recognition: Your name will be recognized on the NSO website.*
- Meet the Musician: Enjoy the opportunity to meet and interact with the musician in your sponsored chair.
- Exclusive Invitation: Receive a special invitation to a dress rehearsal and reception.
- Tax Receipt: You will receive a tax receipt for the full amount of your gift.
*Musical Chairs may be named for you and/or a loved one, in memory of a loved one, or your company.
