This year promises an unforgettable lineup of captivating performances, celebrating the best of orchestral music. Join us for a season filled with extraordinary concerts, special events, and the timeless beauty of live music. Don’t miss a single note in this remarkable 2024-2025 Year of the Arts!

Dear Friends of the NSO,

Welcome to our 2024-25 artistic season, my last as your Principal Conductor. Once again, we have put together a wonderful selection of events offering a great diversity of musical styles and genres. We are confident that our concerts will provide something special for everyone.

The season will be highlighted by the presence of four talented guest conductors, all finalists for the position of Principal Conductor. Through our Masterworks and Sinfonia series, they will offer you programs that are not only dear to them but that will also be enjoyed by you, our faithful audience. The guest artists we have chosen will bring to our stage upcoming virtuosi such as violinist Isabella d’Éloize Perron, cellist Noémie Raymond-Friset as well as pianists Angela Yixuan Miao and Ian Parker. I’m delighted to be back to conduct our traditional Messiah performances with my good friends David Pomeroy and Dan Taylor as soloists along with young Newfoundland soprano Zoë Vallée and esteemed baritone Tyler Duncan. And also, please join us for our diverse and exciting recital series with the Atlantic String Quartet.

From immortal masterworks to celebrated Pops hits and more, you will have the opportunity of experiencing all this great music in a “live” setting.

Thank you all for being such a wonderful audience over the years! It’s been a true privilege to perform for you during these 33 seasons.

I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Marc
